Roles and Responsibilities
- Support the School of Music in general administrative duties
- Orchestral Management:
Manage the logistics for the performance aspects of both internal and external rehearsals/performances in the following areas :
- Stage Management
- Scheduling of Ensemble Rehearsals
- Attendance taking of rehearsals
- Logistical/transportation needs
- Engaging guest musicians and preparing payments
- Preparing rehearsal scores and assisting in Orchestral auditions - Contemporary Art Research & Practice
Engage in high-impact practice-based research, focusing on AI in creative practice.
Drive high-impact creative outputs including exhibitions, screenings, and public showcases that elevate the School's research culture and regional standing.
Translate active studio research into innovative pedagogical frameworks into effective pedagogical frameworks. - Logistical and administrative support for other NAFA events (productions, concerts, festivals etc.)
- Assist students in the areas of facilities bookings/rooms arrangement according to specific settings during weekly rehearsals and examinations
- Oversee instrumental loans, maintenance and upkeep of inventory of instrumental assets
- Assist in updating the e-Portal and notices such as timetables, exam schedules, and syllabus requirements, etc
- Facilitating payments and providing general administrative support to different faculty studies
- Any other tasks assigned by Reporting Officer
Requirements
- Minimum diploma in any discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant working experience or degree in any discipline.
- Good organisational, resourceful and coordination skills
- Preferably an interest in the Arts or working experience in the Art/Music industry
- A team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
