Motor Underwriter Join Our Growing Underwriting Team!

We're looking for a proactive and relationshipdriven Motor Underwriter to join our Underwriting unit. In this role, you'll manage a panel of intermediaries, support the Lead Underwriter, and help drive profitable portfolio growth.

What You'll Do

• Underwrite new Motor Insurance business in accordance with underwriting guidelines and business objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and insured clients, offering advice and support on motor insurance matters.
• Review renewal policies, especially those with claims history, ensuring sound underwriting decisions.
• Monitor and manage your assigned portfolio to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.
• Guide, mentor, and support junior underwriters and administrative staff.
• Assist the Team Lead Underwriter in day-to-day team matters and initiatives.
• Provide crossteam support when needed, including contingency backup.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by the Team Lead Underwriter and/or Head Motor Underwriter.

🎯 What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years of underwriting experience in motor insurance (preferred).
• Completion of MASrequired papers to advise on general insurance matters.
• Strong technical understanding of motor underwriting principles and risk factors.
• Familiarity with various motor vehicle types and their characteristics.
• Excellent communication skills, with tact, patience, and confidence in handling clients in a competitive market.
