DORS at Design Orchard, is a leading multi-label retail destination, showcasing the nation's best designers and brands across fashion, lifestyle, art and design. DORS houses over 80 brands in these categories, making it Singapore's largest physical one-stop shopping destination for local labels. With a newly refresh concept store in Orchard Road and an expanding ecommerce store, DORS connects locals, tourists and corporates to unique collections, products and experiences.

DORS is managed by Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), the official association for the fashion industry in Singapore. Our mission at SFC is quite simple: To create A Vibrant Asian Hub for Responsible* Fashion.

Role Overview:

The Executive, Merchandising will support daily merchandising operations, coordinate with brand partners, and assist in curating an exciting and on-trend product mix. This role focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting the corporate gifting program, and ensuring the store (both offline and online) is well-stocked and visually appealing. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to Singapore's vibrant fashion scene.

Key Responsibilities:

Merchandising Support:

  • Assist in curating seasonal product assortments that align with brand direction, customer insights, and trend forecasts.
  • Monitor fashion and lifestyle trends, market activity, and competitor benchmarks to identify product opportunities.
  • Support the execution of visual merchandising standards and in-store display updates to drive product visibility and sell-through.

Inventory Management:

  • Collaborate closely with the inventory team to ensure accuracy during brand onboarding and new product launches.
  • Coordinate goods receiving, price tagging, stock movements, and regular display refreshes.
  • Track stock levels and recommend timely replenishments to prevent overstock and stockouts.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and propose corrective measures for process improvements.

Brand Partner Coordination:

  • Serve as the liaison with local brand partners on stock delivery schedules, product information, and display requirements.
  • Collaborate with brands to expand their product categories, drive revenue growth, and manage brand accounts.
  • Support their participation in DORS online and offline initiatives, including campaigns, events, and promotional activities.

Corporate Gifting & B2B Support:

  • Support corporate gifting program execution by preparing product selections and packaging as required.
  • Assist in creating visibility materials or samples for B2B prospects.

E-Commerce Merchandising:

  • Provide the e-commerce team with complete and organized product assets, including imagery, descriptions, and technical information.
  • Support the optimization of online product categories and filters to improve discoverability and conversion.
  • Ensure accurate and appealing online representation of all products, with consistent styling and messaging.

Product Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze product performance using sales, inventory, and customer data to guide assortment planning, pricing, and replenishment decisions.
  • Generate regular merchandising reports and derive insights to inform future product strategy.
  • Recommend data-driven actions to improve sell-through, margin performance, and stock productivity.

Operational & Administrative Tasks:

  • Maintain accurate records of brand agreements, commercial terms, purchase orders, and brand communications.
  • Provide support in generating merchandising reports and tracking sales performance.
  • Assist with ad hoc merchandising and promotional initiatives as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Merchandising, Retail Management, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail or fashion merchandising preferred.
  • Familiarity with fashion trends and consumer preferences.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for dealing with brand partners and internal teams.
  • Comfortable using MS Office, Google Workspace; knowledge of data analytics or data visualization software and inventory management systems is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude, team player, and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento).
  • Interest in fashion technology or sustainability-driven fashion concepts.
