Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Equipment Control Executive to join our team. You will be responsible for managing Demurrage and Detention (D&D) reconciliation, monitoring container utilization, maintaining accurate system records, and supporting data reporting and cost optimisation to ensure efficient equipment operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform reconciliation of Demurrage & Detention (D&D) charges to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Monitor and reduce long-stay empty containers to optimise asset utilisation.
  • Correct and maintain accurate container movement records in OPUS.
  • Assist in verifying depot invoices for accuracy and compliance.
  • Support Equipment Control (EQC) workflows for effective tracking and utilisation of container assets.
  • Extract, reconcile, and visualise operational data for reporting and analysis.
  • Carry out ad-hoc operational tasks to support daily business needs.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strong analytical insights.
  • Assist in any other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Job Requirements

  • At least Diploma in Maritime Studies / Shipping-related disciplines or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) standards, cargo-worthy inspection, and repair estimation; IICL certification is an advantage.
  • Highly organized with strong time management skills, able to prioritise and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of making sound operational decisions
  • Proficient in MS Office skills as well as Google Suite applications.
