Job Description
- Work together with other senior bridge engineers to carry out analysis and design of bridge elements (segmental box girder, post-tensioned beams, precast crosshead, piers, foundation, etc.)
- Prepare sketches and work closely with BIM modeller in preparation of Revit drawings/models (including preparation of general arrangement, concrete outline and reinforcement details drawings)
- Write technical reports
- Prepare design calculations spreadsheet
- Lead bridge inspection
Hard Skills
- Have design experience in bridges/rail
- Able to use analysis software (eg. SOFiSTiK, MIDAS, RMBridge, StaadPRO, SAP2000, etc.)
- Have some knowledge of design codes (EC2 or BS 5400/BS 5950/BS 8110)
- Able to write and review technical report and prepare design spreadsheet
- Able to guide junior engineers
- Basic drafting skills in CAD or Revit is a bonus
Experience
- Holds a Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- 3-4 years of experience in structural engineering
