Job Description

Brief Summary

Join a dynamic team as a key player in managing and supervising large-scale waste management facilities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance operational excellence and safety in a vital sector.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project consultants and government stakeholders to ensure designs meet specifications and statutory requirements. Participate in testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems. Attend factory acceptance tests (FATs) locally and internationally to verify the quality and performance of major equipment. Lead a team to coordinate maintenance work between contractors and internal teams for efficient operations of the waste-to-energy facility. Implement preventive maintenance programs for electrical and control equipment, including turbo-generators and motors. Administer operation and maintenance contracts for mechanical and building services equipment. Enforce safety protocols and supervise contractor work to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Develop standard operating and safety procedures, including equipment testing and changeover programs. Promote a safety culture and improvement initiatives within the facility to achieve operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or Structural Engineering) is essential. 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred. Professional certifications such as Professional Engineer or Workplace Safety and Health Officer may be advantageous. Strong technical background and analytical skills are required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary experience with Navisworks and Primavera P6 is preferred. Candidates should be mature, independent, resourceful, and effective team players with good communication, presentation, and writing skills. Willingness to perform shift work and travel as needed for factory acceptance tests and training is beneficial.
