Job Purpose
You are responsible for the reliability, maintainability, availability and safety of the trains. The desired outcome is to support SMRT TEL in delivering safe and reliable train services for the commuters. As part of your job scope, you will be handling engineering issues related to train-borne systems of the trains serving Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL). To handle the complex engineering issues, you will work in cross-functional teams within SMRT and interact with staff from the various disciplines. In the course of your work, you will also engage Land Transport Authority (LTA) and OEM on a variety of engineering related issues.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Carry out train reliability and defect trend analysis, fault troubleshooting and investigation, engineering evaluation and implementation of engineering programs.
2. Review preventive and corrective maintenance performed by SMRT TEL's Rolling Stock Staff. Participate in Daily Production Meeting.
3. Responsible for tracking SMRT TEL's Rolling Stock Key Performance Index (KPI) and prepare management report.
4. Review and update SMRT TEL's Rolling Stock (RS) Documents, which include Work Instructions, Quality Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, Risk Assessments.
5. Utilise Maintenance Management System(MMS) system for compiling asset/system performance trends and analysis, and perform MMS training to engineers and maintenance personnels.
6. Promote Kaizen and Safety Culture Within SMRT TEL's Rolling Stock (RS) Department. Work with the maintenance teams on Kaizen projects to continuously improve work processes for enhanced Safety, Productivity and Services.
7. Perform miscellaneous engineering and administrative job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
