Responsibilities
- Conduct troubleshooting, failure analysis, and reliability trending to resolve engineering issues. Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams to investigate defects and develop strategies for improvement. Analyze condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns and propose effective maintenance modifications. Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance tasks. Identify and implement cost-effective technologies to enhance performance of trains and related equipment. Support project design reviews, ensuring specifications meet safety, reliability, and operability standards. Report and address safety concerns in the workplace. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by supervisors, which may include administrative functions and project support.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized institution. Comfortable working hands-on in a maintenance workshop environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with flexibility to adapt to varying work situations. Proficient in diagnostics and reliability engineering methods, such as FMECA, Fault Tree analysis, Weibull analysis, and Damage Tolerance Analysis. Strong analytical, decision-making, organizational, and planning skills. Prior experience in railway systems is a plus.
