The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore's built environment.
[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities
You will play a major role in administering building regulations and developing new strategies that will shape a future-ready Built Environment Sector. You will be responsible for:
- Reviewing/developing strategies and policies in relation to the Building Control (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing) Regulations,
- Enhancing processes and managing operations under the BC (Temporary Buildings/ Advertising Licensing) Regulations; which includes facilitating a pro-business environment, which include IT system development and working closely with related agencies.
- Approving submissions on building plans including the designs related to safety, environmental sustainability and barrier-free accessibility;
[What we are looking for]
- A degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in consultancy and design
- Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in a team and possess eagerness to learn
- Motivated and fast learner
- Candidates who possess professional certification, or strong technical/BIM knowledge will be an advantage
