Duke-NUS Medical School (Duke-NUS) was established through a landmark collaboration between two world-class institutions; Duke University and National University of Singapore, with the objective of providing innovative education and impactful research that enhance the practice of medicine in Singapore and beyond.

The Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) was established at Duke-NUS in 2014 with the mission of forming regional platforms and networks to grow competencies, build capacity and promote thought leadership in regulatory science and health policy in the Asia Pacific, with a focus on South-East Asia.

CoRE has established a strong and highly regarded education portfolio for industry professionals and regulators. The Centre also enables thought leadership and policy innovation in areas of health products regulation, and its expanded scope now includes issues related to global health, health policies and health system strengthening. Its key focus areas are digital health, vaccines & pandemic preparedness, advanced and innovative therapeutics, innovative clinical trials, and medical devices.

This role combines marketing strategy, content and social media creation, event management, and administrative support for key groups and committees. The selected candidate will be responsible to ensure seamless marketing initiatives, facilitate impactful events, and provide high-quality administrative support across teams. Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills are essential, along with effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Marketing & Communications

  • Support comprehensive market research to gather insights to inform and enhance content and outreach strategies aimed at target audiences.
  • Manage integrated marketing strategies across digital and traditional channels, ensuring consistent, compelling content aligned with CoRE's brand voice, while tracking outreach.
  • Promote initiatives and events, collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and impact.
  • Maintain and optimise dissemination lists for targeted communication. Support stakeholder engagement through timely and professional communication.
  • Manage social media platforms, ensuring regular updates, tracking engagement, and maintaining communication with followers and stakeholders.

Event Management

  • Independently coordinate the planning and execution of virtual and in-person events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and audience needs.Manage event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, approvals, and budget management for cost-effective execution.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful planning and implementation of events.
  • Independently create and manage custom Gantt charts, and maintain organized, up-to-date event documentation.Oversee attendee registration, providing clear communication and support to participants before, during, and after the event.
  • Track and report on event success metrics.
  • Independently manage tasks through detailed Gantt charts and maintaining up-to-date organised event documentation.

Secretariat Support

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the Health Regulation Group (HRG), APAC Network and the Regulatory Harmonization Steering Committee (RHSC), ensuring well-organized and efficient meetings, events, and communications.
  • Organize and schedule meetings, including webinars, seminars, roundtables, and focus groups, ensuring logistical needs are met and productivity is maintained.Prepare and distribute detailed meeting agendas and related documents, ensuring timely distribution to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of HRG and RHSC meetings and communications.
  • Support the HRG, APAC Network, and RHSC in follow-up actions, timelines, and meeting deliverables.
  • Liaise between stakeholders, to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in a related discipline (Marketing Communications).
  • Entry-level candidates or Diploma holders with at least 5 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
  • Background in Science and work experiences in a research/ academic environment would be advantageous
  • Competent in both verbal and written communications to craft good statements, pitches, narratives, and stories.
  • Meticulous, organised, and mindful about information accuracy, and able to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications. Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/Illustrator/In Design/Premiere Pro/ Canva) is beneficial. Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems would be advantageous.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and able to effectively multi-task and perform well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
