About the Company
We are a Singapore-based hedge fund manager with a primary focus on the Japanese equities. As we continue to grow and expand our strategies, we are looking for a disciplined, detail-oriented Execution Trader to join our Trading team.
Role Overview
The Execution Trader will work closely with the CIO and the investment team to ensure the flawless execution of trades. This is a high-impact role requiring a candidate who is dependable, calm under pressure. The seniority of the role and its specific responsibilities will be calibrated based on the successful candidate's experience level.
Key Responsibilities
- Order Execution: Execute long/short equity and futures orders across the Japan and Asia markets, focusing on Best Execution to minimise slippage and market impact.
- Trade Lifecycle Management: Ensure the accuracy of trade entries and coordinate with Operations for seamless post-trade processing and T+0 matching.
- Broker Relations: Maintain professional relationships with sell-side execution desks and ensure optimal service levels.
Requirements
- Professional Experience: 27 years of experience in trade execution. Prior experience in a hedge fund or institutional environment is a strong advantage.
- Asset Class Knowledge: Solid understanding of equities and futures. Familiarity with the Japanese market is preferred.
- Operational Discipline: A zero-mistake mindset. You must be highly organized and able to follow strict trading protocols without constant supervision.
- Team Player: A collaborative attitude. You are here to support the firm's success and work harmoniously with the CIO and other functions.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel. Experience with EMS/OMS platforms.
- Communication: Strong command of English. Proficiency in Japanese is a plus given the market focus, but not a requirement.
