This is an exciting opportunity for a driven hospitality professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys building strong client relationships.
Reporting to the Director of Events Management, you will manage the full spectrum of local catering sales-from lead generation and negotiation to event coordination and post-event follow‑up. You will play a key role in maximising catering revenue, elevating customer satisfaction, and ensuring seamless coordination with both internal teams and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Handle incoming leads and convert them into confirmed business.
Conduct sales calls, prospecting, telemarketing, and client entertainment to grow the customer base.
Conduct site inspections and maintain strong exposure for the hotel in the market.
Monitor account performance, maximize up‑selling opportunities, and achieve personal catering sales targets.
Support promotional events such as bridal fairs and signature events.
Marketing & Forecasting
Support revenue forecasting for local catering segments.
Assist in planning and updating marketing communications and sales action plans.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to recommend proactive sales strategies.
Event Planning & Coordination
Work directly with event organizers on event requirements and provide professional advice.
Recommend menus and cross‑sell other hotel services.
Arrange food tastings and coordinate AV, décor, floral arrangements, and other event needs.
Prepare floor plans, event documentation, and ensure smooth event handover to operations.
Administration & Systems
Maintain accurate sales data using Delphi and ensure Meeting Broker protocols are followed.
Prepare reports and maintain strong coordination with Sales, F&B, Banquet Operations, and other departments.
Service Quality & Customer Experience
Strive to improve Medallia/EPM guest satisfaction scores.
Work closely with operational teams to deliver exceptional event experiences.
Gather and analyse post‑event feedback for continuous improvement.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Issue accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to organizers and internal departments.
Ensure timely communication and follow‑up with clients before, during, and after events.
Participate in regular internal meetings and share customer insights with management.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in catering sales, events management, or hospitality sales.
Strong negotiation, communication, and client‑management skills.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Proactive, customer‑focused, and able to work independently and with cross‑functional teams.
Knowledge of Delphi or other event‑management systems is an advantage.
