Objectives for this Role:

Events Management Coordinator role to be a strong assistant to both Asst. Manager and Unit Manager to assist in organizing and manage Client Centre, Non-Client Centre and firmwide events. This candidate needs to have some F&B experience, especially regarding the use of service ware, setting up of buffet lines, serving tables, customization menu, menu proposal etc.

An individual who is extremely motivated, hardworking individual with a can-do attitude-there is no task too big or too small that you won't see through with precision and dedication. Through previous experiences, individual have demonstrated that he/ she are highly responsible and able to execute tasks from start to finish.

Job Responsibilities:

Events Coordinator Support

  • Generate ideas to better improve event caterings regardless of set up or customer service
  • Follow through the entire process from menu proposal, set up and collection of event items
  • Meet up with internal customers as and when required for event enquiry
  • Source for partners, suppliers/vendors based on event requirements
  • Responsible for ensuring smooth execution and operation on-site - pre, during and post events
  • Communicate, maintain and develop good rapport / positive relationships with various internal and external event stakeholders, suppliers/vendors, sponsors, content providers/speaker
  • Assist in any other duties required by the events team from time to time
  • Assist Unit Manager / Assistant Unit Manager in reports and adhoc duties
  • Supporting in handling admin duties such as monthly billing report, catering reports, order placing with caterer / vendor
  • Raising Purchase Order for Finance submission for accurate billing process
  • Able to commit to long working hours during peak periods
  • Able to multi-task, resourceful in solving problems

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to Compass Singapore HSE systems and procedures
  • Follow all Emergency Response plans on site
  • Follow procedures for identifying, assessing and controlling hazards and risks
  • Adhere to and always maintain food handling standards and food safety plan

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum three years experience in reception in a hospitality and/or corporate environment required
  • Must present a professional and friendly image
  • Demonstrates proactive & professional approach to customer service.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle pressure, multi-task and work within tight schedules and deadlines.
  • Able to make common-sense initiatives and make sound judgements and decision
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Calm, resourceful, independent and vigilant.
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict and conflicting priorities multi-tasking skills are key
  • Proven ability to manage complex events matters on a daily basis
  • Flexible - able to adapt to rapidly changing situations.
  • Exhibits honesty & trustworthiness and
  • Competent in Microsoft Office products.
