Job Summary

As a CBRE Events Assistant Manager, you will beresponsible for the planning, coordination, and hands-on execution of event setup activities to ensure all events are delivered smoothly and professionally.

This role focuses heavily on the physical preparation of event spaces, including staging, equipment setup, vendor coordination, logistics, and on-site support.

What You'll Do:

Event Setup & Execution (Primary Focus)
  • Execute full event setup and teardown including furniture arrangement, dcor placement, signage installation, and equipment configuration.
  • Set up AV equipment, lighting, staging, and other technical elements (with support from technical teams where required).
  • Ensure event spaces meet the required layout, branding, and safety standards.
  • Perform on-site checks to confirm all materials, tools, and supplies are ready prior to event start.
  • Troubleshoot last-minute setup issues and provide practical solutions on the spot.
Logistics Coordination
  • Coordinate the movement, storage, and delivery of event materials and equipment.
  • Manage event inventory such as tables, chairs, dcor, backdrops, signage, and AV items.
  • Work closely with site teams to ensure timely packing, transport, and return of event assets.
  • Liaise with vendors for rentals, deliveries, and on-site services.
Vendor & Stakeholder Support
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand event requirements and setup specifications.
  • Support vendors and partners on event day with access, setup space, and operational needs.
  • Assist clients, speakers, and VIP guests during event preparation as needed.
Compliance, Safety & Quality Control
  • Ensure all setups comply with safety guidelines, fire regulations, and venue policies.
  • Conduct quality checks to confirm that event spaces match the approved design or floorplan.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment before, during, and after events.
PostEvent Duties
  • Oversee breakdown and storage of all event materials.
  • Report equipment damage or inventory shortages.
  • Provide input for process improvement and more efficient setup workflows.

What You'll Need:
  • Proven experience in event coordination, event setup, venue operations, logistics, or related fields.
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transport event equipment and materials.
  • Practical understanding of event layouts, furniture arrangement, and basic AV setup.
  • Ability to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience working with vendors, production crews, or event contractors.
  • Familiarity with event management software or layout tools.
  • Basic technical knowledge of sound systems, projectors, and lighting setup
