EVENT MANAGER for a GLOBAL FINTECH & MEDIA COMPANY (6-MONTH CONTRACT)

The client is a Global Financial and Media Technology company that provides real-time data and analytics to professionals in the finance, business, and investment sectors. It's a household name that possesses a strong drive for cultivating innovative breakthroughs and remain dedicated to recognizing that creativity thrives within a nurturing and well-balanced work setting, they are resolute in their commitment.

THIS IS A 6-MONTH CONTRACT ROLE subject to extension or conversion based on performance and business needs.

In this role, you will take charge of designing, planning, managing, and executing a variety of marketing, business and employee-focused events across the organization.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in planning and delivering various events of different audience sizes across different platforms (onsite, online, hybrid) and predominantly for Marketing Related events with technology companies.

Responsibilities

  • Event Strategy and Execution: Create, organize, and deliver impactful sales and marketing events that align with business goals.
  • Tool Utilization: Leverage internal event management tools, platforms, and systems to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partnerships and Integration: Work closely with marketing managers to deploy events that engage external partners such as government entities, conference organizers, and key associations, crafting unique experiences to convey critical messages.
  • Project Leadership: Oversee complex, high-level eventswhether in-person, virtual, or hybridwhile incorporating tailored, innovative ideas to enhance the event experience.
  • Creative Direction: Manage creative aspects, including invitation design, event production (both physical and virtual), audiovisual requirements (such as show calling), and virtual event components.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders across geographies and business units, ensuring successful execution from start to finish.
  • Strategic Alignment: Build strong relationships with internal teams to align events with products, audiences, and market needs. Spot opportunities for cross-functional event collaboration and connect efforts across marketing teams.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze event performance using metrics, feedback, and experience to influence decisions on audience targeting, promotional strategies, and budget prioritization.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years in event planning and logistics, preferably in a corporate, technology company or agency setting.
  • Time Management: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to tight deadlines.
  • Integrated Marketing Expertise: At least 7 years of experience integrating events into marketing campaigns, with a clear understanding of events roles within a larger marketing framework.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Career Growth: Evidence of progressive career advancement within past roles.
  • Autonomy: Comfortable working independently, taking calculated risks, and adapting to direction when needed.
  • Teamwork: Strong interpersonal abilities and effectiveness in collaborative environments.
