Job Description

Founded in 2014, Global Cultural Alliance (GCA) is a not-for-profit organization focused on building communities and bridging borders through the arts.

Through its programmes, GCA develops platforms for the exchange of ideas and shared cultural experiences. Since its inception, GCA has organized programmes across Hong Kong, Cape Town, Tokyo, Mexico, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Vietnam. It is also the proud producer of Sing60 , a two-day home-grown music festival held at Fort Canning Park in 2025.

GCA is a wholly owned subsidiary of The RICE Company Ltd (TRCL), which is committed to addressing social inequality through creative and artistic interventions for underserved communities, with the aim of building a more resilient and inclusive Singapore.

Duties & Responsibilities

Event Planning & Execution

  • Support the team in planning and running events from start to finish
  • Assist with research, timelines, logistics, budgeting, and on-site event operations
  • Prepare basic reports and documentation after events

Marketing, Communications & PR

  • Assist in developing and carrying out marketing and publicity plans
  • Support updates for event listings, website (WordPress), and social media
  • Help create marketing materials and outreach content and track their performance

Stakeholder & Administrative Support

  • Assist in preparing proposals, pitch decks, and reports for partners and stakeholders
  • Support coordination and communication with the GCA Board alongside the team
  • Take meeting minutes and help maintain organized records and documentation

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Arts Management, Communications, Marketing, or related fields
  • Internship, school projects, or volunteer experience in events, arts, or marketing is a plus
  • Familiar with both non-mainstream/esoteric and popular artforms/genres
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools (e.g. WordPress)
  • Have some design and layout experience

Key Qualities

  • Interest in the arts and cross-cultural exchange
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Resourceful, able to work calm under pressure in live event environments
  • Ability to conduct research and gather information
  • Possess basic video editing and graphic design skills
  • Awareness of how marketing and PR contribute to event success
