Event and Catering Sales Assistant Manager & Manager (2 posts)
Job Description
- Build and manage a strong list of clients through networking, referrals, tenders, online research and social media
- Meet clients to understand their event needs, budget, guest profile and service expectations
- Attend site visits, tender briefings and pre-event meetings
- Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders in a clear and accurate way
- Follow up with clients to close sales and confirm bookings
- Maintain good relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals
- Provide sales updates and forecasts to management
- Be the main contact person for the client before, during and after each event
- Handle client requests, changes or complaints calmly and professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen, logistics and operations teams to ensure everything is ready on time
- Work with the kitchen and operations team to design menus, service style, manpower and setup that fit the client's needs
- Ensure the correct food, equipment, staff and setup are prepared according to the event order
- Be present at events especially during major or high-profile events to make sure everything runs smoothly
- Follow up after each event to collect feedback and ensure client satisfaction
- Help train and guide service and operations staff when needed
- Carry out any other duties related to catering sales and event operations
Job Requirements
Experience in a similar F&B environment (catering or food production) is an advantage.
Quick-thinking with strong problem-solving skills.
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapts quickly to changes.
Hardworking, team-oriented, yet capable of working independently.
Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays where required
Possess Class 3 driving license is an advantage
