Position Summary We are seeking an experienced investigations professional to join the Ethics Office as Ethics and Compliance Manager (Investigations) - APAC, supporting the region across Southeast Asia, Australia, India, Japan, and Korea. This role will lead sensitive and complex workplace and ethics investigations, support disciplinary review processes, identify conduct-related risks, and partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen a culture of integrity, accountability, and respect across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in workplace, employee relations, ethics, or compliance investigations, along with sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive matters independently in a fast-paced, international environment. Responsibilities: - Lead prompt, thorough, and impartial investigations into alleged violations of company policy, Code of Conduct, and workplace standards, including concerns related to employee misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation and other ethics-related matters. - Manage investigations end-to-end, including intake assessment, scoping, investigation planning, evidence gathering, witness interviews, credibility assessments, fact development, and case closure. - Produce clear, accurate, and well-reasoned investigative documentation, including interview summaries, case analyses, investigation reports, and recommendations for corrective or disciplinary action where appropriate. - Partner closely with Human Resources, Employment Legal and Business Leaders to drive effective case handling and support consistent, fair, and timely outcomes. - Identify key risk themes, root causes, and control gaps arising from investigations, and provide practical recommendations to strengthen processes, mitigate risk, and improve the employee experience. - Support disciplinary review processes by presenting findings, surfacing relevant risks, and helping stakeholders make balanced, well-informed decisions. - Contribute to the development and enhancement of policies, procedures, and investigation frameworks to support a respectful, compliant, and high-integrity workplace. - Use insights from case trends and employee concerns to inform training, awareness efforts, and broader ethics and compliance initiatives across the region. - Provide clear, practical guidance to stakeholders on investigation processes, reporting channels, and policy application, while maintaining appropriate confidentiality and neutrality. - Operate effectively across a diverse and fast-paced APAC environment, managing sensitive matters with sound judgment, professionalism, and a high degree of discretion.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Risk Management or a related field. - Significant experience in workplace investigations, employee relations investigations, ethics and compliance investigations investigations, or related functions. - Demonstrated ability to independently manage sensitive allegation reviews and investigations involving employee misconduct, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, conflicts of interest, whistleblower concerns, or other workplace conduct matters. - Strong investigative capability, including case planning, evidence gathering and review, witness interviewing, credibility assessment, fact analysis, and report writing. - Strong knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance principles, and industry standards, including areas such as anti-bribery, data privacy, Code of Conduct, and workplace policy frameworks. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams both locally and internationally. - Sound judgment, high integrity, and a hands-on, flexible approach, with the ability to manage multiple matters efficiently in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience conducting investigations in a multinational organization or across multiple countries and cultures, ideally within the APAC region. - Experience in the technology, media, internet, or other fast-paced global industries, including in-house corporate investigations experience. - Familiarity with disciplinary review processes, case management practices, and workplace risk assessment.
