A well-established company in the shipping industry is currently seeking a HR Director to join their dynamic team.
The Role
The role is responsible for leading regional HR strategy and operations, with a focus on designing and implementing competitive compensation, benefits, and performance frameworks aligned with business objectives. It oversees recruitment strategies to enhance talent quality, including direct involvement in hiring for senior and critical roles, while driving organisational design and ensuring effective execution across overseas offices. Acting as a key bridge between headquarters and regional teams, the role ensures HR policies are globally aligned yet locally adaptable, facilitating cross-cultural collaboration and resolving potential gaps. It also manages end-to-end HR operations across Southeast Asia, including compliance, payroll, onboarding, and employee relations, while developing regional HR teams and driving employee engagement and culture initiatives.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of HR experience, including at least 3 years in a senior regional or multinational role, with a strong track record in leading compensation reviews, bonus design, and KPI framework implementation across multiple countries. They have demonstrated success in driving organisational improvements with measurable outcomes and possess strong cross-cultural competence. Experience in the logistics, shipping, or supply chain industry is advantageous but not essential. A bachelor's degree is required, while a master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SHRM or CIPD) would be an added advantage.
