The Company

A well-established organization in the shipping sector is currently seeking an Accounts Executive to join their dynamic team for a contractual period of 3 months.

The Role

This role is responsible for end-to-end accounting and operational support, including verifying invoices and supporting documents, processing payments and staff expense claims, and managing cash requirements such as maintaining the cashbook, monitoring fixed deposits and interest schedules, updating FX rates, preparing weekly cash balance reports, and performing bank reconciliations. The position handles intercompany billing and monthly reconciliations, supports month-end closing by preparing journal entries and schedules, and oversees GST and VAT submissions. Additional responsibilities include maintaining proper filing and archiving of financial documents, ensuring accurate operational accounting, and assisting with ad-hoc tasks and projects assigned by management.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Accountancy or an equivalent professional qualification and has at least 5 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably with exposure to multi-country operations. They are proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, with experience in the Navision accounting system considered an advantage. The role requires an energetic, hands-on, and meticulous individual who is a strong team player, able to multitask effectively, and possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
