Estimator / Tender Quantity Surveyor
- Working Days: Monday - Friday, Saturday half day WFH
- Working Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm | 830am - 1230pm
- Working Location: Dhoby Ghaut
- Salary: $4,000 - $5,000
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate, competitive, and commercially viable tender submissions.
- Prepare and issue tender enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers in a timely manner.
- Identify and engage suitable subcontractors and suppliers based on project scope, capability, capacity, and location.
- Review and input Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and prepare tender pricing documents.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to clarify technical requirements and obtain competitive quotations.
- Verify quantities, conduct measurement checks, and identify any omissions or discrepancies in the BOQ.
- Ensure all project scopes are captured during tender preparation.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure tender submissions meet RFP and client requirements.
- Review tender documents and recommend value engineering or cost-saving alternatives where suitable.
- Manage tender addenda and ensure subcontractors price based on the latest tender information.
- Prepare and submit tender queries or RFIs to consultants and clients where clarification is required.
- Compile preliminary cost estimates, including project preliminaries and staffing requirements, in consultation with the Project Manager.
- Evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Prepare commercial analysis and recommendation reports.
- Complete estimating documentation and ensure compliance with company estimating procedures.
- Prepare tender assumptions, qualifications, exclusions, and pricing clarifications for final submission.
- Support post-tender negotiations, clarifications, and handover to the project delivery team upon successful award.
Job Requirements:
- Have relevant tender / pre-contract experience, preferably as a Tender QS, Estimator, Pre-Contract QS, Cost Estimator, or QS Estimator in fitting-out or construction projects.
- Able to prepare BOQ, quantity take-off, tender pricing, and quotation comparison.
- Familiar with subcontractor and supplier sourcing, tender enquiries, and tender documentation.
- Able to identify tender discrepancies, omissions, project risks, and cost-saving opportunities.
