Responsibilities
- Manage scope requirements and participate in the procurement process, including RFQ preparation. Source materials and equipment that meet project specifications and technical requirements. Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitiveness and adherence to project standards. Establish technical bid evaluations and collaborate with suppliers/vendors to identify any discrepancies. Compile and review required technical data for project submissions. Prepare project execution plans, method statements, and other documentation as needed. Identify opportunities for value engineering to reduce project costs without sacrificing quality. Assess potential risks related to costs and contracts, developing strategies for risk mitigation. Ensure compliance with MEP construction regulations and stay updated on industry trends and best practices. Prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) projects based on specifications and drawings. Conduct material and labor quantity take-offs for installations and collaborate with teams for accuracy. Develop and manage project budgets, monitoring cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Generate regular cost reports to keep stakeholders informed about project financial statuses and provide recommendations. Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders, participating in meetings to support project success. Conduct cost analysis for repair and maintenance projects and complete other tasks as assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution. At least 5 years of relevant working experience in industrial, commercial, or data-centre projects. Strong knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical systems. Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail, adaptability, and flexibility. Strong communication and facilitation skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and independently, demonstrating initiative and commitment.
