Job Description

A top-tier US Investment Bank is seeking a highly motivated Sales Assistant to join a dynamic Sales & Trading team. This role is critical in supporting the derivatives and equity trading operations, acting as a key liaison between clients, sales, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong problem-solving ability, and possess a strong interest in derivatives and equity markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist sales teams in executing and booking derivatives and Delta One trades, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and internal Operations teams to resolve booking, margin, and settlement issues.
  • Maintain precise trade records, conduct reconciliations, and verify statements and reports for derivative products.
  • Manage the end-to-end client onboarding process, including KYC and profile maintenance.
  • Lead or contribute to ad-hoc projects aimed at enhancing system workflows and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant working experience in sales & trading, middle office, trade support, or operations within a financial institution.
  • Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related disciplines preferred; candidates from other majors are also welcome to apply.
  • Knowledge of derivatives is a must.
  • Strong understanding of equity markets; familiarity with China A-share markets is an advantage.
  • Strong MS Excel skills are required; VBA is a plus.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, is essential for client interactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure on the trading floor and adapt to a high-intensity, long-hours environment.

  • Goal-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work accurately in a fast-paced setting.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
