About our group:

RPE department's primary mission is to test the electrical efficiency of the magnetic media and head. We use VXI Test System (VTS) and Reduced Footprint (RFS) as a component level of electrical tester. We will provide process feedback/design feedback for mass production as well as development/Launch and aid drive development by characterizing distribution and developing transfer function. In additional, we will test Failure Analysis tool (electrical HDD failures only) and screen defects (electrical only) related to magnetic sputtering process.

About the role - you will:

  • Responsible for equipment issue troubleshooting and executive preventive countermeasures
  • Drive equipment fault investigations and continuous improvement programs to resolve chronic tester issues
  • Enforce on equipment maintenance controls and execution to conform to work instructions and procedures.Apply hands-on and with deep involvement at work.
  • Provide effective equipment trainings to the technicians to build up their technical and skill competencies.
  • Manage and control spare parts availability and costs.
  • Manage vendor services and supports and ensuring compliance with factory protocol.
  • Establish, review and perform regular update of PM procedures, Risks Assessments and Troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Execute the equipment upgrade, new equipment move-in, installation, set up and buy-off, meeting set timelines.
  • Compliance with EHS, QM, ESD, 5S standard and cleanroom protocol.
  • Strong teamwork, able to work well with a global team and other duties as assigned.

Your experience includes:

  • At least 4 years of experience in troubleshoot and repair malfunctions of equipment
  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering.
  • Knowledge in software and programming skills - Microsoft office, Python programming, VBA excel
  • Accomplished lab skills, including operation of oscilloscopes, data collection tools, and data analysis techniques are all skills that will be beneficial in this role.
  • Knowledge of computer-based control system, PLC, electro-mechanical pneumatics applications will be an added advantage
  • Proficient in English speaking and writing
  • Able to work in cleanroom environment and perform overtime as and when necessary
