Role DescriptionThis role is responsible for ensuring workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance. The Environmental Health Officer/Safety Officer/Health & Safety Supervisor develops, implements, and monitors health and safety policies, conducts risk assessments, and ensures adherence to regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in occupational health, safety, and environmental management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards.
- Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and standards.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training, guidance, and awareness programs on health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Collaborate with management and employees to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and compliance reports.
- Recommend improvements to processes, equipment, and practices to minimize risks.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or related field.
- Proven experience in health and safety, environmental compliance, or occupational safety roles.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and environmental standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, training, and team collaboration abilities.
- Ability to conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.
- Knowledge of safety management systems, incident investigation, and emergency response.
