The Environmental, Health & Safety Sr. Specialist is responsible for the EHS activities mainly within the Singapore facility, which include supporting the overall strategy of IDT's Global EHSorganization.You will work in collaboration with the EHS Global team and site leadership in developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS procedures, systems, equipment, and documentation, as well as providing compliance and technical support that ensures regulatory compliance in line with business goals. You will have the opportunity to learn how Kaizen tools are utilized for EHS activities. The scope of this role also includes Sales offices (South Korea and Japan), inclusive APAC field-based Associates.

This position reports to theGlobal EHS Manager, is part of a multi-site and operating company Environment, Health & Safety Teamand willbe an on-site role at the IDT Singapore location.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Champion EHS performance by developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive programs while promoting awareness through impactful training, site-wide communications, and engagement initiatives to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

  • Lead Critical Health & Safety Initiatives such as Emergency Action Planning, Spill Response, Risk Assessments, Injury & Illness Reporting, Hazard Communication, Contractor Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, and safe handling/storage of flammable liquids. You will also manage key permits and licenses, including Petroleum & Flammable Materials (P&FM), Hazardous Substances, and explosive precursor licenses, to mitigate risks and optimize company costs.

  • Drive critical Environmental & Sustainability Programs focused on air emissions, water discharges, waste management, and continuous improvement projects that advance sustainability goals.

  • Embed EHS&S into Operations by partnering with cross-functional teams to foster an interdependent safety culture across all operational and administrative areas.

  • Maintain Compliance & Documentation through accurate recordkeeping, reporting of EHS metrics, and management of purchase requisitions for EHS-related equipment and materials.

The essential requirements of the job include

  • Bachelor's degree, postgraduate diploma, or professional qualification in Engineering or Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).

  • Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer

  • Certified Fire Safety Manager (preferred)

  • 3 to 5 years of working experience in the related field

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Occasional travel as required (up to 5%, including overnight stays)

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) within a biotechnology setting and/or in chemical handling or manufacturing environments.
