Environmental Control Officer

About the role

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, this full-time role will see you playing a crucial part in ensuring the highest standards of environmental compliance and sustainability at Right Construction Pte Ltd's projects. As the Environmental Control Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all environmental aspects of construction site operations to meet all legal and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing

1. Developing, implementing and monitoring environmental management plans and procedures for construction sites

2. Conducting regular environmental inspections and audits to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions

3. Liaising with relevant authorities and ensuring timely submission of all required environmental reports and permits

4. Providing training and guidance to site teams on environmental best practices and compliance

5. Keeping up-to-date with changes in environmental legislation and regulations, and adapting procedures accordingly

6. Collaborating with the HSE Manager to develop and promote environmental sustainability initiatives across the company

7. Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to environmental compliance

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 3 years experience as an Environmental Control Officer or similar role within the construction industry

2. Strong understanding of environmental regulations, policies and best practices applicable to the construction sector

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with site teams, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders

4. Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines

5. Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to identify and address environmental risks

6. Relevant diploma or degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or a related field
