Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist and advise the Project Manager in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) planning for both the overall project scope and specific activities.
- Conduction inspection and report the conditions in construction site and provide recommendation on the remedial measures on the following area: .
- a) Disease-bearing insects and rodents.
b) Proper disposal of construction waste
c) Noise, air and water pollution.
d) Earth littering
e) Siltation of drain
f) Food hygiene
g) Proper maintenance of toilet and other sanitary facilities
h) Other environment health matters.
- Review and comply QECP checklist to ensure that the ECM is adequate.
- Compile and submit environmental related data including water, electricity and diesel consumption on site, concrete wastage on site and amount of construction debris generated at site.
- Compile records on any check or visiting by the Authorities (For example: NEA for noise and vectors, PUB for ECM)
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years working experience of ECO in construction firm.
- Registered ECO and ECMO qualified
- Good communication skills, oral and written
- Ability to work independently with high level of motivation
- Hands-on, detail oriented and able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff
- Positive attitude, team player and committed to continuous improvement
- Certificate - Environmental Control Officer for Specified Construction Sites
- Certificate - Earth Control Measure Officer
- Certificate - First Aider
