MARS is powered by Bloomberg's world-class pricing library, market data, and mortgage cash flow engine, and together with BVAL OTC enables front office, risk, middle office, collateral managers, and other financial professionals to analyze their trading and investment portfolios, manage and mitigate their exposure, and ready themselves for any turn of events.

The Bloomberg Quant platform (BQuant) is an interactive development tool that provides a turnkey end-to-end solution that supports complex quantitative analysis and delivers data-driven insights to front-office teams at high speed - providing faster time to market. BQuant is designed for buy-side quants, analysts, and portfolio managers that want to adopt a more quantitative approach to their investment process.

What's the role

We are looking to appoint a Team Leader with the experience and motivation to run the APAC Risk and BQuant Enterprise Service Support Team that helps clients with workflow solutions for their risk management requirements and their quantitative investment decision making tasks. You'll help drive the Enterprise Service vision of delivering knowledgeable front-line support across the wide range of Bloomberg Risk and BQuant solutions, and premium services to our clients. You will be leading a team with deep knowledge of our risk solutions, risk management clients workflow, and BQuant. This team will be aligned with Enterprise Sales, Product, and Implementation in the delivery of specialized product support to terminal and off-terminal clients within the sell-side and buy-side community. As well as sustaining a sufficient level of expertise within your team, you will develop relationships with key partners for this community of Bloomberg users within and outside of Enterprise Services.

We'll trust you to:

  • Recruit, develop, and lead the Representatives you are responsible for, enabling a dedicated, impactful, and professional team
  • Collaborate with peer teams and aligned Sales teams to drive critical initiatives, such as client training, usage calling campaigns, and projects
  • Contribute to the effective running of the business
  • Service our clients directly by providing solutions in strategic and critical areas such as product releases, training to new users, handle DRQSs and pre-emptive alerts, and ad hoc workflow projects
  • Proactively identify ideas to help drive stronger departmental performance and implement those ideas to improve results internally and for our clients
  • Act as an advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, truly understanding its importance to our business

You'll need to have:

  • Minimum 7 years of client facing experience in financial services or a financial technology company
  • Experience of Risk products and derivatives, or BQuant
  • Prior experience in team building, leadership, or in mentorship and development of others
  • A strong curiosity about risk and coding, and a passion for providing outstanding customer service
  • The desire and ability to build strong cross-departmental relationships to ensure collaboration around customer support and strategic product adoption and feedback
  • Effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple projects
  • The ability to achieve team goals, logically address problems, and set priorities
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
  • Bachelor's degree or degree equivalent qualifications

We'd love to see:

  • Previous sales experience
  • Experience of any coding language (e.g. Python)
