Our client is an established technology solutions provider in Singapore, specializing in the design, integration, and maintenance of highly secure, mission-critical infrastructure projects for the public and private sectors.
The Role You will take ownership of the organization's data protection strategy, managing enterprise backup architectures and resolving complex infrastructure issues across storage, virtual, and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Govern and optimize enterprise-grade backup and recovery platforms to guarantee high availability and data integrity.
- Investigate and resolve complex storage, network, and backup failures across physical servers, VMs, NAS, and Kubernetes environments.
- Administer and configure core data protection solutions, specifically leveraging Dell PowerProtect Data Manager (PPDM) and Avamar.
- Execute infrastructure lifecycle management, including patching, technology refresh initiatives, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for infrastructure incidents.
- Uphold ITIL frameworks for incident, change, and problem management while maintaining rigorous technical documentation.
Requirements
- Due to project security clearance requirements and the sensitive nature of the work, only Singapore Citizens are eligible for this role.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of dedicated experience in infrastructure support, storage platforms, or data protection.
- Proven track record with enterprise backup architectures (e.g., Dell NetWorker, Veeam, Rubrik, Cohesity).
- Hands-on knowledge of storage appliances and platforms (Data Domain, SAN, PowerStore, Isilon).
- Familiarity with virtualization (VMware vSphere/VCF) and public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI).
- Core networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and storage connectivity.
