The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Enterprise Architect, who is excited to
be among the team of experts in the APJ region to Lead the design and build of
modern Hybrid Cloud solutions for our customers. In the Nutanix Professional Services
Enterprise Architecture Team, we will be working in both pre-sales and post-sales
capacity with the most strategic customers, leading discussions to help our customers
achieve the best Nutanix Cloud solutions architecture catered to their specific
requirements. You will also mentor aspiring consultants and architects within
Professional Services to help guide them to new levels of their capabilities. Your vast
experience will also be leveraged to contribute to Professional Services Practice
Development, to ensure the teams have the best in class documentation sets for their
delivery.
About The Team
Nutanix Professional Services Enterprise Architecture team is a group of highly
experienced architects with multi-domain knowledge. They appreciate the intricacies of
an Enterprise Cloud environment and can guide customers through the complex
transformation journey. Be it greenfield design or brownfield migration, the EA team
has the passion to take customers from early pre-sales engagement stage, through
design, implementation and ultimately day-to-day operations.
The team attracted several senior technical experts including those with VCDX and NPX
certifications from various areas. If not yet a holder, every EA is expected to achieve the
Nutanix Platform Expert (NPX) certification.
Responsibilities
- Take technical leadership in architecting, designing, documenting, and building
Hybrid Cloud solutions based on the Nutanix Cloud Platform.
- Participate and/or lead technical pre-sales discussion with customers.
- Work closely with Nutanix account teams, and product specialist to develop high
level solutions for identified opportunities.
- Lead Professional Services (PS) pre-sales discussions across technological
disciplines with the goal to develop a corresponding level-of-effort (LOE)
document for complex solutions and opportunities.
- Contribute, review and endorse statements of work (SOW), that are prepared by
Services Sales Managers.
- For complex and/or large-scale projects, be a technical leader and partner to the
project managers to ensure the delivery is of high quality and executed in the
best possible way.
- With your extensive experience, contribute to the success of Practice
Development, so that Nutanix PS has the best in class document set available
for delivery.
- Provide broad Enterprise Architecture expertise to help customers understand
how multiple Nutanix & 3rd party products can be integrated to create desired
outcomes with the goal of accelerating adoption and expansion in high-growth
accounts.
- When needed, work closely with Product Management and Engineering to
represent the voice of our customers to present requirement and ensure that
these are well understood by product management and engineering with the
goal of product enhancement.
What Will You Bring
- 12+ years experience in architecting and deploying large-scale solutions.
- Deep understanding of virtualization, containerization, networking, storage and
software-defined data center architectures.
- Experience in designing and managing Private, Public, and Hybrid Multi-cloud
computing environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage
and win the confidence of C-Level executives.
- Ability to execute on broad strategic vision and when needed dive deep into
detail to drive meaningful outcomes.
Great to have
- Experience in an architect or a tech lead role.
- Experience in building a scalable cloud solution on one of the leading public
clouds: AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
- Self-motivated and can work without a lot of structure to develop meaningful
strategies and drive execution to achieve established goals.
- Good understating of the following disciplines:
- Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Software Defined Networking
- Physical, virtual, and cloud networking
- Automation
- Cloud Native/AI
- Security
- Architecture frameworks (TOGAF, VCDX, NPX, NCX)
How We Work
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with
the advantages of in-person collaboration. Most roles, like this one, that will mean coming
into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however flexibility is expected when
situation arises for additional face time in the office. For example for project meetings,
customer meetings, training, etc.
