Enterprise Architect – Core Banking Microservices

LG CNS, a leading IT services and consulting firm within LG Group, is expanding its Core Banking and Digital Transformation practice across APAC. We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead large-scale microservices and cloud-native transformation initiatives for top-tier banking clients.

Role Summary

Drive end-to-end architecture for next-generation core banking platforms leveraging microservices, service mesh, and cloud-native technologies. This role will partner with C-level stakeholders, engineering teams, and global delivery units to shape scalable, resilient, and high-performance systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Define enterprise architecture strategy for microservices-based core banking systems

- Lead service mesh design (Istio, API Gateway, traffic management, fault isolation)

- Drive cloud-native transformation across multi-data center environments

- Ensure architecture alignment across application, data, and infrastructure domains

- Guide resilience design (circuit breakers, failover, high availability)

- Engage with senior stakeholders to translate business goals into technical architecture

- Lead architecture governance, reviews, and best practices

- Support pre-sales, solutioning, and client advisory engagements

Required Skills & Experience

- 15+ years in enterprise architecture, preferably in banking or financial services

- Strong expertise in microservices, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and service mesh (Istio), Consul

- Experience in core banking transformation or large-scale distributed systems

- Deep understanding of API architecture, integration patterns, and event-driven systems

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Experience in consulting or client-facing roles preferred

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with core banking platforms, and cell-based architecture

- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD, and automation frameworks

- Understanding of data consistency models and distributed transactions
