Roles and Responsibilities:-
- Participate in the implementation of clinical practices in Operating Theatre and Endoscopy Suites which include the utilisation of new technologies and clinical nursing audits to ensure the standards of care is rendered.
- Plan and co-ordinate activity/task in the daily Endoscopy suite and CSSD department.
- Able to assess, implementation and evaluate the patients care pre, intra and post-operatively in Operating Theatre and Endoscopy Suite.
- Assisting Surgeons and participating in Operating Theatre and Endoscopy procedures and surgeries.
- Adhere to Hospital protocol, guidelines and regulations in handling infectious cases strictly.
- Always promote a safe culture and practices with service excellent and best quality in patient's care.
- Take up the responsibilities of a nurse and always be a good team player.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and allied healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
- Continuously exhibit professionalism at all times.
- Participate in the care and maintenance of specialised equipment, always ensuring an agreed standard of decontamination or disinfection including accurate record of traceability of all equipment.
- Able to assist in inventories and stock take.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers in delivery of perioperative patient care and services to ensure a safe and comfortable environment in which surgery can take place.
- Able to perform at delegated duties by the Assistant Nurse Clinician/Nurse Clinician/Manager/HOD.
- Able to handle and familiarise with all the instruments and equipment's to be use for surgery and endoscopy cases.
Qualifications/Requirements:-
- ITE Certificate in Nursing
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board.Possess Basic Care Life Support (BCLS) and AED Certified
- Min of one year of work experience in Operating Theatre and Endoscopy is preferred.
- Effective team player and willing to learn
- Good communication skills and able to build rapport easily.
- Confident and poise in delivery care.
- Able to perform rotating shift duties up to 12 hours (average 44 hours per work week) inclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays.
