Primary Role
Carry out preventive maintenance, repairs, and servicing of hotel facilities and equipment to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests and colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair works on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Attends to maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly to minimize disruption.
- Support guest room maintenance and resolve in-room technical issues efficiently.
- Assist in the upkeep and repair of kitchen, laundry, and other back-of-house equipment.
- Ensure tools, materials, and spare parts are properly used, stored, and maintained.
- Monitor and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow safety standards and comply with hotel policies and statutory requirements.
- Assist Duty Engineers and senior team members in troubleshooting and major repair works.
- Maintain accurate records of daily tasks and completed assignments.
- Support energy-saving and sustainability initiatives within the property.
Requirements
- ITE Certificate/NITEC in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services (or equivalent).
- 1-2 years experience in hotel engineering, facilities maintenance, or related field preferred.
- Technical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Hands-on skills in troubleshooting and minor repair works.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as rostered.
- Team player with good attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn.
- Physically fit and able to respond quickly to operational maintenance requests and emergencies.
