Responsibilities
We're looking for an Engineering Operations Manager to manage and optimise the performance of a specialised engineering facility. This role focuses on ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across testing, maintenance, and infrastructure systems, while supporting future capability development.
- Lead day-to-day operations of engineering facilities, including testing environments, workshops, and technical infrastructure
- Ensure high standards of safety, system reliability, and operational performance across all activities
- Lead maintenance strategies, asset lifecycle management, and resource planning for critical equipment and facilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging engineering best practices to enhance efficiency and uptime
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, engineering, and regulatory standards, with robust risk management controls
- Analyse operational data and prepare reports to support performance monitoring and decision-making
- Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering and operations team, fostering technical excellence and a safety-first culture
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support new technical capabilities, test environments, and service offerings
- Provide engineering input on feasibility, system requirements, and resource planning for new initiatives and projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- At least 8 years of experience in engineering operations, technical facilities, or infrastructure environments
- Strong experience in maintenance management, asset reliability, and operational engineering practices
- Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex operational environments
- Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory compliance, and risk management
- Strong operational leadership with a focus on safety and system performance
- Analytical and structured problem-solver with an engineering mindset
- Collaborative and adaptable in a dynamic environment
- High level of professionalism and accountability.
