Engineering Manager

Brief Summary

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee engineering and technical teams in developing precision-engineered products. This role focuses on driving operational excellence, ensuring quality compliance, and fostering innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance. Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitoring costs and identifying cost reduction opportunities. Develop departmental goals, KPIs, and performance improvement plans. Oversee the development, optimization, and validation of manufacturing processes. Improve product efficiency, yield, quality, and equipment utilization. Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for manufacturing issues. Plan, execute, and monitor engineering projects from concept to implementation. Coordinate cross-functional projects involving Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams. Ensure projects comply with customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Lead new product introduction (NPI) and product transfer activities. Collaborate with customers and design teams on manufacturability and cost optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Precision Engineering. Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in precision engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity. Strong knowledge of precision manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, tooling & fixtures, GD&T, CAD/CAM systems, and SPC. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
