Hawksman Technology is currently working with a leading global quantitative trading firm who are looking to hire an Engineering Manager (C++ Trading) for their Singapore business.
Role and responsibilities:
- Leading the design and evolution of a high-performance crypto trading platform, covering exchange connectivity, market data ingestion, and order execution across global venues
- Managing and developing a distributed engineering team, setting technical direction while growing overall team capability
- Partnering closely with traders, researchers, and internal stakeholders to prioritise and deliver high-impact trading and infrastructure initiatives
- Driving improvements to core trading systems with a focus on low latency, network performance, and overall system efficiency
- Building and maintaining tooling for historical market data access and large-scale trading simulation environments
- Continuously enhancing the platform to support new markets, products, and evolving business requirements:
Requirements
- 10+ years C++ engineering experience in trading, fintech, or other high-performance, latency-sensitive environments
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams, ideally across multiple regions or time zones
- Strong background in designing and delivering complex, scalable, high-performance systems
- Solid understanding of core computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms,OOP)
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities
- Strong communication skills with experience engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Familiarity with crypto markets and exchange APIs is a plus
- Strong knowledge of Linux and networking (TCP/IP, UDP); systems programming experience preferred
- Exposure to Python and shell scripting is beneficial
- Mandarin language ability would be an advantage
