Job Summary
As the Engineering Manager at Addcel, you will lead the engineering team to deliver innovative process utilities system designs and engineering solutions, driving project success and client satisfaction in industrial projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team to execute design and engineering of process utilities systems such as HVAC, Specialty Gas, Steam Generation, and FOCS for industrial projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project goals
- Collaborate with clients to analyze needs and develop detailed equipment matrices that support project specifications and budgets
- Develop initial design concepts and budgetary cost estimates to guide project planning and client decision-making
- Conduct detailed engineering reviews of secured projects to identify value engineering opportunities and optimize for pre-fabrication potential
- Manage and coordinate engineering team activities to meet project deliverables and deadlines, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to schedules
- Partner with Project Managers and Construction Managers to define and implement engineering strategies and solutions that support seamless project execution
- Provide ongoing engineering support throughout the project lifecycle to Project Management and Construction Management teams, resolving technical challenges and ensuring compliance
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineering team members to enhance their skills, expertise, and professional growth
- Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies, maintaining quality and safety standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in design and engineering for process utilities, including at least 3 years in a leadership or management role
- Demonstrated expertise in applying industry codes such as ASHRAE, SS Codes, SCDF, ASME, and API codes
- Proven experience implementing Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) solutions
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools, including CAD, project management, and data analysis applications
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience designing for Semiconductor Fabrication facilities (Semicon Fab)
