Build the operating system for AI-native companies

Our products and services are already seeing strong customer demand. We have assembled an ambitious, AI-native team, and we are now looking for an Engineering Lead to turn that momentum into a scalable, trusted, category-defining product.

This is a hands-on leadership role based on-site in Singapore. You will architect, build, review, and ship production software—not manage engineering from a distance.

What you will own

• Own Maxify's technical architecture and engineering roadmap.
• Build reliable AI-agent systems spanning orchestration, memory, tools, permissions, evaluations, observability, and human oversight.
• Lead the design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operation of AI-powered products.
• Write and review production code alongside the engineering team.
• Lead technical discussions, architectural decisions, and code reviews.
• Establish a high bar for security, reliability, code quality, CI/CD, and development speed.
• Partner with product, data, and design to turn business needs into dependable customer experiences.
• Set engineering priorities and resolve critical technical risks and dependencies.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop an exceptional engineering team.
• Work directly with the founder on product direction and long-term technical strategy.

• Maxify becomes more scalable, capable, and trustworthy as customer adoption grows.
• The team ships faster without accumulating unnecessary complexity.
• Critical systems have clear ownership, measurable performance, effective safeguards, and reliable recovery paths.
• AI agents take responsibility for increasingly important business workflows while remaining observable and controllable.
• Your technical decisions create leverage for every future product, customer, and team member.

You may be a strong fit if you

• Have built and operated complex software systems in production.
• Are technically deep and remain an active builder.
• Are highly proficient in Python, Java, TypeScript, or comparable modern languages.
• Have designed scalable systems using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Have built robust testing, deployment, monitoring, and CI/CD systems.
• Have led engineers through architecture, delivery, feedback, and professional development.
• Can move comfortably between coding, debugging, product judgment, architecture, and team leadership.
• Understand that production AI requires much more than model calls and polished demonstrations.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs, communicate clearly, and challenge weak assumptions.
• Move with urgency while caring deeply about reliability.
• Want meaningful ownership rather than a narrowly defined job.

Experience with LLM applications, agent systems, distributed systems, data pipelines, MLOps, developer platforms, workflow infrastructure, or high-growth companies is valuable.

A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is welcome but not required. What you have built—and the judgment, ownership, and learning behind it—matters more than credentials.

Location

This is a full-time, on-site position in Singapore. Candidates must be able to work from our Singapore office.
