Job Overview
The Assistant Site Lead supports the Site Lead in the daytoday management of hard services operations at a GMPregulated pharmaceutical facility. The role focuses on HVAC and critical utilities, ensuring operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and achievement of contractual KPIs. The position carries defined sitelevel responsibilities and requires close coordination with the Site Lead on operational and technical matters. 24/7 standby support is required.
This role demands a highly experienced HVAC and facilities engineering professional with proven financial management capabilities and leadership accountability. You must maintain critical pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities with deep HVAC expertise while demonstrating strong business acumen in CAPEX/OPEX planning, the ability to hold teams accountable for results, and skill in balancing client satisfaction with JLL business objectives. Success requires working in close partnership with the Site Lead on all strategic, contractual, and JLL organizational matters while driving operational excellence and protecting the JLL account for long-term sustainability and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Site Lead in daily site operations and service delivery
- Act as sitelevel operational support in the absence of the Site Lead, within delegated authority
- Manage HVAC systems, utilities, and M&E services in a GMP environment
- Ensure compliance with GMP, EHS, client, and JLL standards
- Deliver assigned KPIs and SLAs, and support overall site performance targets
- Manage OPEX budgets for areas of responsibility and support CAPEX planning and execution
- Lead and support incident, deviation, and breakdown investigations, including RCA and CAPA implementation
- Coordinate and manage contractors and vendors to ensure safety, quality, and performance
- Support audits, inspections, and client technical engagements
- Maintain engineering documentation, SOPs, and site records
- Provide 24/7 standby and emergency response support
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical ,or related Engineering discipline
- 5–8 years experience in facilities or engineering operations
- Strong HVAC experience in GMP / pharmaceutical / cleanroom environments
- Experience managing vendors, teams, and operational KPIs
- Proven OPEX budget control experience; CAPEX exposure preferred
- Good understanding of GMP, EHS, and regulatory compliance
- Clear and professional communication with clients and internal stakeholders
- BizSafe Level 2 certification
Preferred
- Experience supporting regulatory or client audits (FDA, MOH or equivalent)
- Facilities management or serviceprovider background
- Cleanroom or HVACrelated certifications
- Own transport preferred for emergency response
