Engineering Assistant

Responsibilities

• Perform breakdown maintenance by diagnosing and resolving equipment failures promptly. Coordinate with production teams to plan and execute maintenance tasks effectively. Execute preventive maintenance tasks and assess the effectiveness of the maintenance program. Monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Initiate energy efficiency projects in collaboration with engineers and supervisors. Ensure compliance through proper maintenance, calibration, and validation of critical equipment. Manage spare parts inventory, alerting supervisors to shortages to maintain supply. Assist in feasibility studies and project management for facility modifications and improvements. Participate in emergency response activities and support quality assurance checks.

Requirements

• NTC/ITE/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering. A minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance operations within a manufacturing setting, ideally in the food industry. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead and collaborate with others. Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and processes (e.g., Root Cause Analysis). Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems. Experience with utilities equipment (e.g., boilers, chillers, air compressors) is advantageous. Knowledge of engineering drawings and manual interpretation.
