Responsibilities
The Engineer of BBTC M&E is involved in the operation and maintenance of all power supply installation at Bukit Batok Transmission Centre (BBTC). Ensuring Mediacorp terrestrial transmissions for both FM radio & digital TV meet government & company performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to operate power supply system including the Power Grid power source, diesel generators, all electrical switchboards, Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS), and any associated equipment at BBTC.
- Ensure the serviceability of all the building air-conditioning systems, transmission towers and any associated equipment.
- Carry out Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
- Good proficiency in communicating at different levels
- Manage vendors & contractors.
- Provide supervision, testing of new/replaced equipment.
- Liaise with vendors to resolve faults and follow up on installation or dismantle of equipment.
- Assist in project planning and project management including drafting of the Technical specifications during Invitation to Quotation (ITQ) and to evaluate technical proposal.
- Assist in drafting the tender specification for ITT and oversee the project.
- Execute the M&E maintenance plan schedule for BBTC.
- Assist to oversee all scheduled maintenance according to the plan and authority requirement.
- Render support for national events (e.g GE/PE, NDP/NDR, etc)
Qualifications
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Valid Class 3 driving licence is an added advantage
- Preferably 2 years of relevant experience in related industries
- Candidates without the required educational qualifications but with at least 3 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of Electrical Power and Air-Conditioning Engineering and applicable standards
- Knowledge of Radio and TV Engineering and applicable standards
- Experience in Radio and TV transmission
- Familiarity with OHASA standards
