Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence-enabling the world to learn, communicate, and advance faster than ever.
We are seeking motivated and talented individuals to join Micron Technology Inc. Product Engineering (PE) - Functional Design Validation (FDV) team. In this FDV‑Infrastructure role, you will define, develop, and maintain the test program infrastructure used for functional design validation of next‑generation Replacement‑Gate (RG) NAND designs.
This role focuses on building scalable, reusable, and automated test program frameworks, including AI/ML‑driven initiatives, to support both deterministic validation flows and pseudo‑random validation (RSG - Random Sequence Generator). You will play a key role in architecting the backbone of FDV test programs-enabling efficient development, execution, debug, and reuse across multiple products and technology nodes. Validation scope includes NAND datasheet commands, features, interfaces, and customer‑mode operations on silicon platforms. When device issues are uncovered, you will perform deep failure analysis, drive root‑cause identification, and collaborate closely with Design, Application Engineering, Product, System, and Validation teams to ensure timely issue closure and infrastructure readiness for product release.
If you are looking for a technically challenging, high‑impact, and collaborative role, STPG Product Engineering (FDV‑Infrastructure) offers the opportunity to work on leading‑edge NAND technologies with strong ownership and visibility.
The general responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Design and develop the novel test algorithms and test programs for validating NAND features and commands
Build and enhance test program backbone architecture, supporting deterministic flows, RSG‑based validation, and new NAND interfaces
Contribute to AI / Machine Learning initiatives to improve validation efficiency, coverage, and infrastructure intelligence
Drive automation of test program development, execution, and debug workflows using scripting and software tools
Study and analyze latest RG NAND designs, with emphasis on customer‑mode and system‑relevant operations
Execute functional and design validation on new NAND devices using high‑speed ATE platforms
Perform detailed failure analysis, investigate root causes, and track corrective actions to closure
Collaborate cross‑functionally with NAND Design, Application Engineering, Product, System, and Validation teams to resolve device issues and enable successful product release
Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
Strong interest in design validation, characterization, and product engineering
Proficiency in software development and scripting (e.g., C/C++, Perl, Python)
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, with careful attention to root cause analysis
Effective communication skills in written and spoken English, including documentation and presentation
Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast‑paced development environment
Proactive mindset toward continuous improvement and self‑development
Prior experience in ATE test program development (e.g. Teradyne/Advantest) and/or Memory related product would be an advantage
