Design, develop, and deploy equipment automation interfaces, data collection solutions, and control logic for production tools.
Lead integration of equipment with MES, database systems, and factory automation platforms using SECS/GEM, EDA, OPCUA, or similar standards.
Develop and support AI/ML models for predictive maintenance, equipment anomaly detection, process optimization, and automated decisionmaking.
Analyze production workflow and propose automation and AI strategies to reduce manual operations and improve throughput.
Monitor system performance, perform rootcause analysis, and implement corrective actions for automation or AIrelated issues.
Collaborate with equipment, process, data science, IT, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless system functionality and alignment with factory requirements.
Manage and mentor junior engineers; review design documents, coding standards, AI model documentation, and system deployment plans.
Competency Requirement
More than 4 years of handson experience in equipment automation, or precision manufacturing automation engineering.
Proven experience with SECS/GEM, EDA, PLC programming, or equipment communication protocols.
Solid experience with AI/ML development or deployment in manufacturing environments, such as predictive maintenance or anomaly detection.
Strong background in software development using Python, C#, Java, or similar.
Familiarity with MES, APC, FDC, or other factory automation modules is a strong advantage.
