Responsibilities
We are looking to hire a highly motivated, hands-on procurement engineer/senior engineer who will be responsible to plan, source, evaluate, purchase and execute purchase orders to support operations in most cost-effective manner. Key responsibilities include inventory management, review of parts forecast and driving cost savings initiatives related to MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) parts and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage purchasing cycle including request for quotation, PO creation, PO follow up, goods receipt and supplier billing for MRO parts and services.
- Solicit competitive quotations per requirements with negotiations with suppliers for contracts, favourable commercial terms & conditions and pricing
- Collaborate with requestors and suppliers to resolve issues related to requirements, substitutions, priorities, damages, quality, delivery and other important terms & conditions.
- Manage MRO parts forecast and respond to short term sudden pull-in for urgent equipment down, incoming quality issue and monitor usage abnormality.
- Generate plan of MRO parts requirements to ensure prompt delivery and fulfillment of Equipment uptime and production performance.
- Plan, execute and analyze MRO parts requirements and reschedule plans. Highlight MRO parts issues or delays to stakeholders and Procurement Manager.
- Monitor, review and work to maintain optimum inventory level of MRO parts to ensure safety inventory level is met.
- Manage cost savings and cost reduction initiatives
- Manage MRO parts obsolescence, slow moving stock and excess inventory for disposition
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure alignment with KPIs
- Handle miscellaneous projects as and when necessary
- Manage all activities for sale of equipment/scrap parts- internally and with customers as when needed.
OTHERS
- Perform other duties as assigned. Duties will arise from new requirements of business needs. Duties will vary according to the competence level on individual level.
Qualifications
TECHNICAL/ PROFESSIONAL
- Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or other disciplines
- Candidate with fresh graduate or 1-2 years working experience
- Candidate with more than 5 years working experience may be considered for senior position
- Good writing & communication skills in English and Mandarin
TECHNOLOGICAL
- Knowledge of Equipment spare and supply chain
- Knowledge of Excel, Word and Power Point
- Prior experience in ERP software like IFS, SAP or Oracle
