The Engineer manages the planning and operations of assets in the portfolio. He/She plans the team's manpower and provides on-the-job coaching to junior staff. He/She is meticulous, highly detail-oriented and has a keen interest to incorporate new technologies into engineering design projects. He/She possesses excellent knowledge in mechanical and/or electrical engineering fields. He/She is analytical and has good problem-solving skills. He/She also possesses strong interpersonal and project coordination skills crucial for engagement with internal and external stakeholders. He/She is required to work both in the office and at project sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule periodic Service and Maintenance (S&M) and ensure service reports for periodic S&M are properly documented and stored.
- Identify and troubleshoot any operational problems with any equipment.
- Prepare quotations, organise and carry out necessary repair work.
- Ensure contractual obligations are always met.
- Ensure chiller plant always maintains n+1 contingency.
- Monitor chiller plant performance (kW/RT) and work with the Performance unit to optimise and maintain chiller plant performance.
- Prepare and submit Service Reports for insurance claims.
- Schedule technicians duty roster, and review and approve technicians timesheets, leave, claims, etc.
- Be the main point of contact with Customers - provide technical/operational support to Customers when needed, attend to Customers complaints, and prepare and submit incident reports to Customers.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering/Mechanical/Electrical, or related disciplines.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working with ACMV systems, preferably in a similar role.
- Well-versed in air-conditioning, chiller plant operation, pump and control system (BMS) fundamentals.
- Possess good communication skills, able to manage stakeholders and work well/lead a team.
- Responsible and self-motivated.
- Willing to perform standby duty or work beyond regular office hours, depending on operational needs.
Candidates with more experience may be considered for a Senior Engineer position.
