Responsibilities
- Coordinate civil engineering projects to ensure timely and quality delivery of design and construction phases
- Perform detailed analysis and design of civil, structural, and geotechnical works to meet project specifications and regulatory standards
- Utilize design software tools such as Civil 3D, InRoads, InRails, Plaxis 2D/3D, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, and Robot to develop accurate engineering models and designs
- Conduct site inspections and review instrumentation data to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design intent
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, design documentation, and submissions to local authorities to secure necessary approvals
- Lead project and coordination meetings with stakeholders and clients to align project objectives and resolve technical issues
- Draft tender specifications, assist in procurement processes, and manage construction contracts to support project execution
- Apply knowledge of BCA regulations, local submission procedures, and codes of practice to ensure regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycle
- Manage time effectively and perform under pressure in fast-paced project environments to meet deadlines and project goals
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in geotechnical and foundation design, particularly for buildings and underground structures
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proficiency in Plaxis 2D/3D and other engineering software to enhance design accuracy and efficiency
- Previous experience with deep excavation, basement, or infrastructure projects to support complex project requirements
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills to address engineering challenges and collaborate effectively
