Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented
Mechanical Engineer (Drafting Focus) to produce accurate, high-quality 2D and 3D technical drawings that clearly reflect engineering intent. This role is dedicated to drafting, documentation, and drawing management to support manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Create and maintain accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
- Translate engineering concepts, sketches, and design inputs into complete, manufacturable drawings.
- Apply proper dimensioning, GD&T, materials, surface finishes, and technical notes in accordance with ASME/ISO standards.
- Revise and update drawings based on design changes, engineering feedback, and project requirements.
- Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, engineering codes, and documentation procedures.
- Manage drawing files, revisions, and version control using PDM/PLM systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve drawing-related issues and support manufacturability.
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent relevant technical experience). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software with solid knowledge of GD&T, drafting standards (ASME Y14.5), and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering requirements and convert them into complete drawings.
- Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, welding, and fabrication drawings.
- Familiarity with optoelectronic components.
