Engineers are tasked with several key responsibilities that ensure the efficiency and safety of systems.

These include:

• Designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems, focusing on safety, efficiency, and reliability.
• Analyzing systems and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Directing and coordinating manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Performing detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
• Using computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
• Preparing specifications for purchases of all type of equipment and materials.
• Supervising or training project team members as necessary.
• Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes.
