POSITION GOALS
The Engineer will drive operational compliance across the managed sites by optimizing building systems performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing cost-effective maintenance strategies. This role will strengthen client relationships through responsive service delivery while mentoring high-performing teams and innovative solutions. By balancing technical expertise with strategic planning, the Engineer will enhance asset value, improve sustainability outcomes, and establish industry-leading practices that support JLL's commitment to shaping a brighter way forward in property management.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Engineer role is focused on the safe, compliant, and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment. Engineers are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and operating building systems as instructed, ensuring all equipment functions as intended, and supporting the overall reliability and safety of the facility. The Engineer has the following primary and secondary responsibilities:
Primary Responsibility:
- Monitoring, maintaining, and operating building systems and equipment as instructed.
- Manage Vendors performance and compliance to client contract.
- Ensure the uptime of the systems and identify areas for improving the reliability of systems.
- Continually monitor operations, assess building systems, functions, and performance.
- Assist in creating written response plans for potential incidents.
- Train on all site equipment to understand its operating and failure modes.
- Perform tests, rounds, and data analyses to ensure the proper functioning of critical equipment.
The Engineer, the role includes assisting with monitoring, maintaining, and operating building systems under the direct oversight of a Lead Engineer, performing level 1 support to ensure system switch over are perform in safe manner.
As a people Manager, you will be required to monitor, coach and guide your staffs to ensure they perform towards and excellence of the roles and provide valuable ideas to improve the way the task is delivered.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Ability to read, comprehend, and apply information from technical manuals and reference materials.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Effective communication with all levels of the maintenance/operations organization.
Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems is preferred.
